Description & Background

Dark rain clouds building up over the summer harvest in the small farming village of Besford as the sun gently sets over the Worcestershire countryside. The completion of harvesting marks the end of the growing season or the growing cycle for a particular crop, and the social importance of this event makes it the focus of seasonal celebrations such as harvest festivals, found in many religions.

What paper type has been selected for this print?

Paper selection is the most important aspect of printing my landscape photography. For each and every print produced I have meticulously chosen the optimal paper to display the printed image on. The criteria for paper selection includes, texture, colour reproduction, retaining tonality and detail and also the lifespan of the print. For this image I have selected the following paper

Fuji Film Lustre Crystal Archive

Produces amazing colors - subtle shades of green, striking blues and vibrant reds.

Crystal Archive is an excellent paper to use when long-term image storage and stability is desired. It is fade resistant In addition, this paper handles extremely well and will tolerate occasional variances in image processing better than other papers. When your print is stored below 50°F and with a relative humidity of 30-50%, you can expect a storage life of more than 20 years.

Paper Qualities

  • Excellent image stability
  • More detail in highlight areas as well as improved whites
